Word automation in asp.net alternatives?

I have developed an implementation to automate word to be used for spell
checking on a asp.net page. Basically, an instance of Word is used to
capture a TextBox, spell check in Word and then write it back to the
TextBox. I have that working and all is fine. Except, there is some
resistance to installing word on the server and wondered what other
alternatives you all may have.

There are numerous commercially available spellcheck components for
..NET.

I bet you could get one for even less than the cost of a Word license
for the server.

I should have added - if you haven't read this article from MSFT, you
should. It explains many of the considerations surrounding server-side
Office automation.

Word automation is not recommended or supported by Microsoft for ASP.NET
applications.

There is a free ComponentOne web spellcheck Ctl in the asp.Net resource kit
