DropDownlist Control Defailt

I have set up some DropDownlist controls successfully on my web site and
successfully databout them to a table in Sql Server. But I need to set up a
static empty value selection listItem. How do I go about this without
interfering with the dynamically bound list items?

Once you call the DataBind() method, you can add whatever you want to the
list, and at any position.
