I'm not experienced with the XML parsing capabilities of the .NET CLR. If I
have a simple fragment (not an entire document) which looks like so:
<element attribute1="foo" attribute 2="foo2" ... >
<possibleSubElement attribute1="foodoo" />
</element>
where the sub elements may or may not exist, what is the simplest way to
gain access to a) the attributes of the top level element and b) the sub
elements and their attributes? I tried using XmlTextReader but it seems as
though that would be overkill. Do I really need a context and namespace
manager to read something this simple?
