Dataadapter and default values

Vik
Should a dataadapter retrieve the default values from an SQL Server database
and assign these values to a datatable?
It does not work for me.

Thanks.

I created a dataadapter in design view and genererated a dataset. An SQL
Server table has the default values for some columns but a table generated
by the dataadapter does not have these values.
