Button click event stops working when using Page.RegisterRequiresRaiseEvent(this)

Hi
I have here a problem that I can't understand
I have a server control which have a button
this button implements click event.
My problem is when I try to register the control to RequiresRaiseEvent
the click button stops working

Anyone have any idea why is that?
