formatting text using buttons

Hi,

i know i'm not in the right place here but i'm still hoping one of you can
help me.

I have created this website using asp.
Now my boss wants me to add some buttons so the user can format some text of
his own.
Just bold, italic, underline.

I've been trying to find some javascript to do this but i can't seem to find
it.
Can anyone help me?

You need to set style properties from javascript. Alternatively you can
preset the styles and change the class property.

Style properies:
myElement.style.fontWeight='bold';
myElement.style.fontStyle='italic';
myElement.style.textDecoration='underline';
