Urgnet Question

Dear:

I have web application that able user to upload files the the ability to zip
them, the problem I have , that there is a choice that makes user extract the
zip file into server but while extraction there are some existing file
overwritten without user notice, what I need while extraction process to
inform user with a dialog if he/she needs to overwrite it or not and then
continue the extraction process.

Is this scenario possible?

i think so.

Check out: http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSourc...b/Default.aspx

it's a free zipping class for .Net. It'll let you loop through the entries
in a zip file (check the unzip example). From that you can check if a file
already exists. If so, bring up a page that lists the files to be
overwritten, ask the user to proceed and on you go. You'll need to store the
zip file on the disk during this "confirmation" phase, but I don't imagine
that to be a problem.

Of course. You just add a message to the Response. It can be in the page, in
a popup generrated by JavaScript, etc.
