future release. There's no reason to involve a database server for my
requirements. Instead, I'll have to write some clunky code in order to
achieve the same results of a simple DELETE FROM statement.

No, you can't. The guy who handles SQL statements is called database
server.
DataTable is just a class that has its own methods.
