Repeater/Textbox and editing heiarchial data

Is it possible to use a repleater for my asp.net pages to edit parent/child
data? I need to display quite a number of rows on the screen at the same
time in a parent child display. For example:

Main Item
child
child
child
Second Item
child
child
...

I need to use textboxes that are enabled all the time similar to a
spreadsheet for the child items to be edited. How can I deal with updates
like this. Displaying the data isn't too much of a problem. I am puzzled
about submitting my changes however since I don't think it will know the
primary key to the row it came from to update the proper one.

Thanks for any tips.
