VS.NET 2005 partial class

Using VS.NET 2005, is it possible to see the hidden part of the code behind?
For example, creating a new web site creates default.aspx.cs which is a
partial class. Can we see and/or modify the hidden part? I would assume
this is by design - they don't want us mucking with it, but thought I should
check.

Thanks in advance.
