Assert failed-possible vs.net compatability issue

Hi i am getting the error Assert failed TID:0x34c: 0, FIle
e:\vbe6\ruby\rutil.c line 1565 Get Proc Address Failed when I try to open any
office application that has vb embedded such as word, excel. Hopefully will
not have to back up my machine and clean the drive and reload all software.
I have both visual studio.net 2003 installed and visual studio 6 enterprise.
Also I do have an e drive but there is nothing on it other than some hidden
files. The vbe6 directory on e drive does not exist.
Thanks.
