I need to call .net component from ASP (not ASP.NET)

I am working on a site that is ASP (VBScript) and won't be converted for
some time. BUT, I need to create a Web Service written in VB.NET (or C#).
Anyone know of any source for info on how to communicate between ASP and
..NET?

TIA,

If you are writing a web service you could always communicate over the
web service using XMLHttp from ASP. If they share a common database -
that could be used for some out of band communication.
