Client-side imagemap editor?

Hi,

The company I'm currently contracting with has their own in-house CMS and
they need to be able to let the end user create their own imagemaps. Does
anyone know of any javascript based client-side imagemap editors that could
be employed?

Unfortunately, ActiveX controls aren't an option due to security policy.

Thanks

I don't really see if this is really an open "authoring" tool or if it is to
allow the user to edit sensitive zones related to perhaps existing records
in a database.

If this is the later you could try :
- input type=image tag. It allows to know server side where the image was
clicked.
- registering the coordinates client side in an hidden form (two corners)
and submit the form

For a simple editing scenario such as recording location on a map to later
produce an image map, it should work.
