Merge Module dummy app

Hello all,

i've been researching how to deploy asp.net apps with crystal reports and
the procedure generally is to create a setup project within vs ide and
include various crystal merge modules, fine. Is it possible to just create a
NEW project and include the modules without being part of the asp.net
project? Would any files that should be installed (apart from the pages) not
be installed as it was not part of the actual app?
