SSL from a web user control?

Hi all,

Is it possible to have a specific postback from a non-SSL page to be SSL
enabled? I want to have a login form (which is a web user control) on my
starting page and if the user logs in I want to do a post back with SSL
(https...) to my server. Please note that I do not want the starting page to
be with SSL.

Is this possible? Or any work arounds for this? Many websites out there have
a login form on the starting page even if the starting page is without SSL so
I guess this is a normally scenario - or do they just skip the SSL in the
first postback? :)

Thanks
Thomas

Hi,

Use https in the form action tag(for the secure page) in your non ssl page.
