How to control Datagrid,Repeater and Datalist properties with CSS

How can i change the CSS style of the EditCommandColumn property setting
ButtonType?
I want the ButtontType to have different colors with style?
Actually whats the best way to control all similar properties with cascading
style sheets..for example Datagrid etc..
