Drodown with Datagrid

Hi,

I am using two Drodowns with ASP.NET Datagrid/(ASP.20 GridView) . What i want is , on selecting the first dropdown i want to populate the second dropdown based on the selection. The dropdown control is places in ItemTemplate.
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:DropDownList CssClass="dropdown" ID="ddl" DataTextField= "Desc"
DataValueField= "ID" Runat="server"
OnSelectedIndexChanged="ddl_SelectedIndexChanged() "/>
</ItemTemplate>

<ItemTemplate>
<asp:DropDownList CssClass="dropdown" ID="ddl2" DataTextField= "Desc"
DataValueField= "ID" Runat="server"
OnSelectedIndexChanged="ddl2_SelectedIndexChanged( )"/>
</ItemTemplate>

On selecting the first drodown , i need to populate the second drodown...

Hi Govind:

You'll have to catch the event when the first drop down selection
changes (make sure to use AutoPostBack). In the event handler you can
use FindControl to grab a reference to the second DropDownList, and
then DataBind it.
