If you want to create a new DB user for SQL applcation security, I think
db_datareader and db_datawriter will be sufficient for most case. You may
add other rights later if you need to do other jobs such as create new
database, etc.

You can find their respective meanings from the "SQL Server Online
Document"(SQL Server ½u¤W»¡©ú) by searching for "db_" in "Index".

Could you advise the original poster that he would be better to seek a
newsgroup in his own language (such as
microsoft.public.cn.dotnet.framework.aspnet) rather than continuing to post
in an English-language newsgroup?

Thanks,

Ken

I see his repost on tw.sql newsgroup, but without any reply.

Localized newsgroup don't get as much traffics as international(as supposed
to be) newsgroup like here anyway.

I don't think ".cn" newsgroups will be good for him as the code page he use
is Big5(Traditional Chinese), and the code page used in ".cn" newsgroups are
in GB(Simpilified Chinese). I seldom see code page converter built in
newsreader.

Although he can type the post in "MS Word 2003 or later" then
translate(Chinese edition do have this function), the translation from GB to
Big5 is often wrong judging from the context.
