How To? Validation Control triggering another function

I'd like to have a validation control trigger another routine when the
validation control returns invalid. The goal is to return focus to the
control that fails the validation and clear any text that remains in the
validated text box.

I've run into a deadend on figuring out how to make this work. Any
suggestions or samples would be nice.

Thanks

John

set the validation control to runat at the server instead of the running on
the client side
I think this is done with the EnableClientSideScript="false"

Then in the postback, check is that page is valid. ....
If(!Page.IsValid)
{
//Set the test you require here
}
