My comment might not have been clear ..sorry
The express versions won't install side by side with VS.Net 2002. They will
only install side by side with 2003.
Dunno why, check out;
http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/expres...e/default.aspx
specifically:
The Beta1 Express editions have been tested side-by-side with Visual Studio
..NET 2003 and these two editions can be installed on the same computer.
However, the Express editions have not been thoroughly tested with Visual
Studio .NET 2002 and we recommend that you first uninstall Visual Studio
..NET 2002 before installing the Express editions. The Express editions will
be supported side by side with Visual Studio .NET 2002 by the final release.

Hmm, why is that (the VS.NET comment)? Are you speaking of the express
version? I have the full version beta, all seems to be fine on my PC
(2002, 2003, 2005), as that was the intent. Also I don't know why
express would be different, it's just a different version of the IDE...I
might see problems w/ 2005 express and full on the machine together, but
I haven't looked at the express version....
