Referenced project startup path

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get the startup path of an assembly?
this is my scenario:

have a project with that generates a component wom is referenced in my web
project
this component needs to read and write a custom configuration file, the
problem is that when is referenced by my web application takes the path of
the web site instead of the path of the assembly itself

thanks in advance
