IE status bar always loading

I've just got a really annoying prob, just wondered if anybody else has come
across the same thing.
I have a got an admin page that uses two iframes, the left one contains a
tree control, the right frame is a record display page.
When you click on an item on the tree the right iframe loads the record.
More often when the right frame has loaded the record the ie blue status
just loads up slowly and never actually loads, even though all pages have
loaded. The pages load in very quick so there is no performance problem.
Any ideas???
