Does file exist using URL ??

Is there anyway in .net to find out if a file exists using
its URL as opposed to its physical path ?

You could use the WebClient class (see System.Net.WebClient) to issue a GET
request on the distant file..

(Of course, if it's a local file, it's much better to use its physical path)
