Payement processor.

I need to accept creditcard on my site and i have seen a product that
handles payement processing.
..netcharge (www.dotnetcharge.com).

I'm very new in this field of payement processing and i would like to know
if anyone can advise on the matter..
Please do not hesitate to instruct about this subject .
Any usefull input will be highly appreciated

It depends on how you are collecting the money.

Paypal is, by far, the simplest, as you pass all processing off to them. If
you do not have a business account, you can still use Paypal. They also
charge more for this convenience.

With components, you will have to have your own business account set up,
along with the proper merchant agreement with a credit card processor. Your
bank can generally give you guidance on this, and some banks work tightly
with some processors, making things very easy for you. Make sure the
component you buy works with your processor, or you are wasting money. As
most are standardized these days, you should not have a problem, but nailing
down the bank and processor is a good first step, none-the-less.

Thank you Greg.
Your input was of huge help for a beginner like me.
I'll visit the paypal site to see how it all works.

Here in Europe, paypal is not so widely used yet (as far as i know), but i
guess it is only a matter of time. My first impression is that their
solution is very flexible and i will strongly consider it before i purchase
any component.

Thank you so much.
