Dynamic socket connection in asp.net

Hello. I'd like to build a stock quotes application that will
dynamically post quotes, similar to the way in which a java applet would
by opening a socket connection back to the server.

Is there any way to do this in asp.net?

Thanks in advance.

Adam Smith.

First, Nothing stops you from embeding Java applet in aspx page. Also there's a way to host .NET Winforms in their browser, look into that. It requieres .NET framework to be installed on clients' PCs.
