multilingual smtp component

Dear Sir,

I wrote an Smtp myself to send email. Everything works fine when I am
sending English email. However, when I send an email with special characters
in it, there is always a problem. I used UTF8 encoding, below the sending
command.

Can someone tell me what did I do wrong? How can I write a smtp component
which can be able to handle special characters?

Private Sub SendData(ByVal strMsg As String)

Dim strByte As [Byte]()

strByte = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(strMsg.ToCharAr ray())

qqNetworkStream.Write(strByte, 0, strByte.Length)

End Sub
