Datatable binding problem

I am trying to create a page with some interesting functionality.

I have a text box, and a drop downlist with a button.

When the button is pressed I want the text box + drop down info to be
stored in a datatable, and that bound to a datagrid and displayed.

If the user then enters more stuff into the text box, and hits the
button then this info will be displayed in the datagrid along with the
old info.

However it seems that the datatable is re-made each postback, so
either I can only see the latest bit of information or I get a
""colname" not member of datatable "organ"".

The page is quite complex, but I am sure the error is not to do with
"normal" postback problems, however I think the problem is that the
datatable is not being maintained over a postback. If I push some
random data into the table at the same time as I create it it does
display in the grid, however when I push my button the datatable no
longer seems to exist.

I will come back and post some sample code, once I have it down to
proportions that are more manageable :)

I would be grateful for any thoughts before this though!

Cheers

Fragg
