Credit card processing

Hi all.

I understand that this question is not exactly related to the topic of this
newsgroup but...

I have done a lot of asp.net work for the past two years but never needed
credit card processing to be implemented in web application. Now I develop a
web based service app that has to charge its subscribers' credit cards on a
monthly basis. It's not an online store with shopping cart and clients don't
click any buttons to be charged. It has to happen automatically, say, every
first day of every month. I searched the web but found only merchants that
gives you some ActiveX APIs that would work only by interacting with site
visitor.

Does anyone know any merchant or software vendor who provides some good .net
wrapper/ActiveX/WebService or any interface which I could use to charge our
clients automatically?

Or may be I'm missing something here?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!

One easy way around it is PayPal. Get yourself a Merchant account with
PayPal, and then you can redirect your new clients to PayPal's website with
your merchant id, cost of sale, periodicity of the charge, and it's all
taken care of for you. PayPal will collect the money from the credit card /
bank account of your client, and deposit it directly into your bank account
weekly / monthly / whatever.

Yes:

IP*Works! CC
allows you to operate using one of many popular internet payment gateways, or by
connecting directly to a credit card processor. Working demos are included in
the trial download.
