"Please wait" window

Hi

I have a pretty simple VB.NET which contains some dropdown lists, a QUERY
button, UPDATE button and datagrid. The page works great accept sometimes
the database access behind the QUERY and UPDATE buttons can be a little
slow.

Anybody got any easy code to pop up a window with PLEASE WAIT, something
like what expedia does would be cool, and ideally I would only want it to
popup if the query has been processing for more than say 2 seconds.

Thanks

The simplest example I've seen for such a situation is this:
