asp.net & vb.net books

I'm new to asp.net and learning vb.net. I'm considering
which book I should purchase. Any opinions on these two
and/or others?

Beginning ASP.NET 1.1 with VB .NET 2003 by Wrox
Murach's ASP.NET Web Programming with VB.NET

Thanks
Tom

Stephen Walther's book "ASP.NET Unleashed" by SAMS is a good way to learn.

I was happy with "ASP.NET Programming with Visual Basic.NET" by Duthie.
It's a good intro that walks you through some sample projects.

Hi,

I got two books:

Beginning ASP.NET, Wrox kind of sucks. It is very basic and uninspiring.
ASP.NET unleashed, by SAMS, by stephen Walther, is excellent. Easy to read,
inspiring, and has all the information I need. We are a couple of
programmers here, and I decide who get the "good" book to read, and who gets
the "crappy" one... that is more or less the difference between them.
