dataset and dataviewmanager... difference

Hi,

could anybody please explain, or point me to an article that does explain,
the difference between a dataset and a dataviewmanager.
The ms docs in visual studio describe the two as being analagous to each
other, although the actual documentation on the dataviewmanager is "light"
to say the least.

I am assuming the difference must be suttle but I have yet to find it.

I would appreciate any comments and/or help on this matter.

thanks in advance.

cheers

martin.
