Hi
Under VB6.0 (and VBScript/ASP3.0, I think...) I could programmtically force a drop down list (ddl) to display a "blank" as currently selected
ddlBlah.SelectedIndex = -
Giving the user a ddl with no item visible as selected (i.e. they have yet to make a selection)
Now, I'm using ASP.NET/Framework 1.1 and don't seem to have a simple (i.e. one line solution) to the same problem as the above no longer works
The nearest I can get is: add a new item, select THAT item, validate for THAT value as "no selection made by user"
Is there a better way
