Cost of web.config parameters

P: n/a

What's the cost of web.config parameters? Low or high?

Is web.config read into memory?

Or is there disk access each time a parameter is read ?

All .config info is cached, so it must be in memory (no disk access).

I gather it is cached but changes are monitored.
