datagrid problem with css

I am using a datagrid,

I assign in my <asp:Datagrid> tag an attribute linking to my css file. This
works well and give me my desired behvior except for one thing. I will show
my code and then show the problem:

my datagrid tag in my aspx file :

<asp:datagrid id="DataGridMatch" runat="server"
HeaderStyle-CssClass="defaultTableHeader" CssClass="defaultTable"
DataKeyField="gameId" AutoGenerateColumns="False">

here is the css :

..defaultTable
{
font-family: Verdana ;
font-size: 11px;
font-weight: bold;
border-bottom: 1px;
border-left: 1px;
border-top: 1px;
border-right: 1px;
border-width:1px;
border-style:solid;
border-collapse:separate;
}

The generated table HTML from the datagrid (view source of the html in the
browser)

<table class="defaultTable" cellspacing="0" rules="all" border="1"
id="DataGridMatch" style="border-collapse:collapse;">

You can see that for some obscure reason, the datagrid generate a
'style="border-collapse:collapse;"' attribute in the table HTML element
which of course override the "border-collapse:separate;" attribute specified
in the css class.

Is there a way to turn off the autogeneration of this attribute in the table
tag? Is there something I do wrongly that brings the generation of this
attribute in the <table> html element?
