Folder security after asp.net application deployment

I distribute an asp.net application and have a deployment project which
works fine except...

After the project is deployed, neither of the necessary windows accounts,
IUSR_MachineName or ASPNET, have been granted the necessary premissions to
the targetDirectory.

Is there a way to set this up?

thanks
charles
