How long for an http request to time-out?

How long will IE wait for a response to a http request before it
times-out?

Thanks for your help.

I just did a test. It waited for ten minutes and I'm sure it could do
more. That's enough for me anyway.

It largely depedns on the response type and if data is stopped, or some data
