smart navigation and hosting

I have a pretty simple interface that updates every five seconds. I'd like
to use smartnavigation to eliminate the flicker. It works great locally,
I've seen it work elsewhere. But of the three hosting services that I use
(asp.net) none work. And there isn't a single person in the known universe
that can tell me why (yes "SmartNav.js" is in the right folder).

My question:

Is anyone using "smartnavigation" on a hosting service's server that is
having the effect that I desire??

Thanks!!!!!!!
