Site Search Component Needed

I am looking for a site search component, any pointers or links? Thank you.

What do you mean by site search component? Search for what - and in what,
the file system - the database you have??.

You could use index server, or get a deeicated search engine - or write a
recursive function that will read through your html, or trawl your database
of meta details related to pages.......

Its a big topic, perhaps you need to be a bit more specific.
