Localhost Not allowing me to create aspNET apps

I have a PC which has IIS and VS2003. It has just quit working and I can't
figure out why. It tells me that I have not properly installed aspnet on my
IIS server and directs me to an exe called aspnet_regiis /i

I have run this utility but to no avail, I still cannot get VS2003 to create
asp applications.

I have verified that other people can get to my PC with their web browsers
and see a simple default.htm page I posted there. The odd thing is when I
try to go to http://localhost/ I get Page unavailable.

I can't figure out what I might have changed but am guessing and hoping it's
something simple.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for posting to the MSDN newsgroups.

Based on my research and experience, we should try the steps in the
following article. (Maybe you have already tried them)

HOWTO: Repair IIS Mapping After You Remove and Reinstall IIS
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;306005

In addition, please make sure that your restart the IIS and then test this
issue again.
