Browser rendering of .aspx page

I'm a student and have installed IIS 5.0 into my Windows
2000 Pro OS. I have also downloaded and installed
the .NET Framework SDK 1.1. These applications are
resident and running, according to all indications. I
further created an ASP.NET page, which code has been
verified. The file has been placed in the inetpub/wwwroot
directory. When referencing
http://localhost/asppage.aspx , the IE 6.0 browser
produces a blank page, with a message on the status bar
(Done, with errors on page). Looking at 'view source'
indicates the correct code, which is a valid page. Does
anyone have any idea what else I can do to uncover the
problem here?
