SessionID Changing 'In Flight!"

We have made changes to an ASP.Net app, tested it on our
testing platform and moved it to our production platform.
In testing it on the other machine, the app fails when we
pull session data back from a SQL Server table keyed on
the SessionID. We added loggin statements to the code to
see what was going on and found that after reading a table
for information to fill a listbox, having the user select
one of those items which causes another table select to
fill a second listbox results in the session ID being
changed between these two database calls.

Any ideas what may be causing this to occur? We have
looked at just about every .config file we can think of
between the test and production machines and they are
identical (except those few items that are machine
specific which have the correct values in them). No one
here seems to know what may be doing this.

Thank you in advance for your time on this inquiry.

Rick
