Calling opener's server code

Dear All,

for asp.net
how to call the opener's server script within an pop up window?

I have a page with a "new" href, clicking on it pops up a new window.
THe popup window add new item to the DB table. upon compltion i would like
to call
the opener's ReloadItem server code.

PLease kindly advice, how can i archive that. or maybe i was on the wrong
direction?
