MS Critical Update #822925 Breaks Visual Studio .NET

P: n/a

looks like we have been stung with the same issue, re. my
post "Server Application Unavailable!!"

I have a support call logged with MS but that could take
hours! But if I sort it I'll let you know :-)

-----Original Message-----
I just installed the Windows Critical Update #822925 and it is apparentlybroken. I am using Visual Studio .NET to develop an ASP.NET webapplication. This application uses VB.NET and ADO.NET to communicate with aSQL Server 2000 database on the development machine. I am using Windows XPPro. When I try to run it in the IDE to debug it, I get the following errormessage:
Microsoft Development Environment

Error while trying to run project. Unable to start debugging on the webserver. Server side-error occurred on sending debug HTTP request.
Make sure the server is operating correctly. Verify there are no syntaxerrors in web.config by doing a Debug Start Without Debugging.
When I try Start Without Debugging, I get a "Server Application Unavailable"error page.

Once I go back to a restore point before the patch was installed, everythingworks fine.

Any ideas out there as to how I might install the patch and still haveVS.NET work?
