linkbutton: confirmation with javascript

i have a link button in a datalist
i want to add to it
DeleteLayerButton.Attributes [ "onClick" ]+="javascript:return confirm (
'This will delete this LAYER and ALL DATA it contains!' );";

how can i do it datalist is populateted with databind..

thanks for your help...
