Nikhil,
You won't be able to install IIS on the Home edition of Windows XP.

The work-around is to install ASP.NET Web Matrix.
http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/default...dex=4&tabId=46

ASP.NET Web Matrix includes its own mini-webserver that hosts
ASP.NET and can be used for local machine development and testing.

Note this web server handles only local machine requests -- it does not
allow remote machine connections.
