Does the page automatically reload when it processes en event or a method? When I click on a button and it processes the information, it loads everything into their respective textboxes but immediately then does a refresh. Unfortunately, on my page load event, I tell it to clear everything (then the user doesn't see the result). Is it possible to tell the web app NOT to refresh unless the user hits the Refresh button in the Explorer?...

Hi, I have a page with a very data intensive grid which needs to be automatically refreshed constantly if a change is detected. In order to not refresh the complete page so often, I created an iframe on my page whose html has the refresh meta as follows : <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10"> The iframe is effectivelyh refreshed every 10 seconds without having the

I'm having an issue with the "Refresh" of an asp.net page. The refresh is actually calling my last onClick event. I thought that asp.net was supposed to be stateless in that it shouldn't remember that I clicked a button before the refresh. Here is what is going on: 1) Page Loads 2) User enters some values, clicks the "Save" button 3) The onClick event handler for the save button saves the data to the database and the page is...

I have an interesting issues that, although I not blocking me, is not very performance. Maybe someone can suggest a better way of doing this. 1) I have a page that displays a grid with command links such as Delete. Obviously if this link will delete the item of the current line. 2) The grid is initialized during the Init event so that the events can be bound. It is my understanding that events do not get fired unless the object...

My ASP.NET application's main page should change values on screen when some extern event occurs (a change in the state of a machine monitored by a .NET Remoting object). That is, this .NET Remoting object that detects a change in a machine, should change or somehow make the page reload in order to show new values on screen. How to make these changes visible to users? The unique way would be to refresh the page every 'N' seconds? Taht is,...

The problem is that none of the rows I'm inserting appear on the screen until I have RETURNed from my function; so If...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
