visual studio 2003 build and debug problem on my asp.net project

Hi all,

I have a asp.net project that was built under visual studio 2003. The
project can be built successfully, but it has this weird behavior that
made me speechless. Here is what happened.

scenario 1: start visual studio, rebuilt the project, Now test the
website using ie, the testing is good so far, next test the website
under visual studio (don't rebuilt the project!), the testing is good
too. No problem.

scenario 2: start visual studio, rebuilt the project again, Now test
the website under visual studio first, the testing always fails. Now
without rebuilt the project, testing it using ie, the testing fails

As you can see, the only difference between these 2 cases is the order
of testing the website. scenario 1 starts with ie, while scenario 2
starts with visual studio. Does this make any sense at all?

By the way, after put break points all over the place, I was able to
nail down where it went wrong. What happened in scenario 2 was that,
for some unknown reason, Session_End got called every time at the end
of the page request, but why?

Anyone experienced this? Thanks

Best Regards

Hello, I seem to be encountering a problem that many others have encountered before me. Unfortunately, even the mighty Google seems reluctant to yield any solutions. We are developing some webservices. We have multiple developers who have Visual Studio 2003 and SourceSafe 6.0d. None of our developers have IIS installed on their machines. We have a central test server that we want to work off which runs IIS and .NET 1.1. All of our...

I'm currently experiencing a strange phenomenon: At my Office, Visual Studio takes a very long time to compile our solution (more than 1 minute for the first project). At home, Visual Studio compiles the same solution much faster (about 10 seconds for the first project). My home computer is only marginally faster than the one I have at the office (P4 2.53 vs. P4 2.4, same amount of RAM). On the slow machine, the CPU usage is very low,...

It seems the option '/useenv' is no longer supported in in Microsoft Visual .NET 2005. If I run 'devenv /?' I get the following: ------------------------ Microsoft (R) Visual Studio Version 8.0.50727.42. Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1984-2005. All rights reserved. Use: devenv

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
