I'm writing a data input page, which will be used by the users to input their information. I recently heard that lot of automated programs which use this page to send junk information into the database. And, the remedy is to have a image verification while adding the data into the database. I know there are namespaces in ASP.NET to write image into the browser. Now, what i want to know is how to show alpha-numeric letters randomnly in the...

Howdy, I have a function that uploads an image and that works great. I love ..Nets built in upload, so much easier than 3rd party uploaders! Now I am making a public function that will take the path of the uploaded image, and resize it with the provided dimensions. My function is below. The current function is returning an error when run from the upload function: A generic error occurred in GDI+. Not sure what exactly that means. From what...

I've done image verification using a predefined background image before and never really liked it but I found one here that seems to dynamically create the whole image instead of using a static background image. Can anyone tell me how to do one like this? Thanks http://www.tradekey.com/functions/generateimage/generateimage.php

I have a small console app that started out in dotnet 1.1 in VS 2003. That version can be copied to a W2K3 server where it runs fine. I set up a new project in VS 2005 and copied the code files from 2003 to 2005 where they compile and run, no problem. When I copy the two files (exe & dll) to the same W2K3 server they fail with the Strong Name Verification Failed error. After running the console contains: "Unhandled Exception:...

Hi, I would like a verification image for new sign ups on a website. Is there a way to call the PHP script through an AJAX call and have the image passed back and then display? Is there a way to pass the image serialized back to the browser and then displayed? (or something like that?) I know that I do not need to do it this way but I am wondering if its possible.

Hi, I have a captcha script which should pick up a background image and add some random letters to it and re-display This is the part of the form that the captcha image is part of: <span >Verification Image:</span> <span ><img src="captcha.php" id="captcha" /> <a href="#renew" onclick="javascript: document.getElementById('captcha').src = 'captcha.php?' + Math.random();">refresh</a> </span>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
