Looking for a Data Control

Hello Everyone

I would like a data control that has the functionality of the gridView
control with the ‘add’ function of the DetailsView control(ASP.NET
2.0). Also, it should have the ability to detect relationships in a
database(sql 2005) and navigate through them. Can anyone suggest one
or code to make. Currently, price is a factor… know what I mean. 

Many thanks
Luis

These two controls work together, however setting this up is not so trivial.

Telerik's grid is pretty darn nice and I believe it supports the features
you described.

Thanks for replying Steve; however, my application requires a solution
not extending to a $399 Single Developer license.

I could follow a how to, or a tutorial but, with so many out there, I
would like to know if someone could give me a direction where to start.

Luis

Hello, My name is Angela Mastrodonato. I'm a web designer who would like the assistance of a php programmer. Some of my clients have requested more dynamic web sites, and I am in the beginning phases of learning php. When it comes to common services, such as shopping carts, I have found ways to modify existing scripts. I'm developing a webapp that needs to track users and provide each user with a view of their own data. In other words, it goes beyond merely protecting certain areas of the site. The application needs to know WHO is logged in and show them their own blog, uploaded documents, reminders, etc. I'm looking for a free component (library, class, script, module, whatever you want to call it) that will help me accomplish this. It should allow...

I'm trying to make what should be a simple DB, but have done got myself confused. I'm trying to keep track of the contents of several kits that use common components. Each component has a unique number and each kit has a unique number. I would like to be able to pull up the kit number them choose the individual components that are included in that kit and keep that record so if any components are changed it would update the kit.

I am looking for a good solution on how to implement data access in an application so that there is a clean separation between the data access layer, the business layer and the GUI layer. I am looking for a robust solution for a major application. Almost every developer seems to come up with a completely different solution. While many of them are not bad, I really want a very good one. My database is SQL Server 2000 and I am using Visual...

I am looking for a control that displays simple HTML text (just basic tags, not active content needed). I know I can use the IE ActiveX control but really want to stay away from the headaches if I can. There has to be some type of lite control out there that can handle this. I am hacked off that the RTF control will not read HTML. RTF tags are WAY too much work for what I need to do. --

Does anyone out there have a simple source control tool that I can use on my PC here at work? My employer does not want to foot the bill for that, saying I can always make a backup in another folder, but I always forget. CVS is good, but it takes a lot of work to get it set up. What would be perfect would be an add-on for Visual Studio that saves all my data, right where I keep it, with an extra folder of changes that I can backup to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
