On myGrid1 - Properties - Columns - myColumn1 - Text format string: I tried to put 'mm/dd/yyyy' in there and it displays 'mm/dd/yyyy' in stead of '04/10/2001'. I know I didn't do it right. I saw an article that described how to convert the query string into an Url without a query string and return the page. For example, this request: http://www.mywebsite.com/products.aspx?category=motherboard becomes something like this: http://www.mywebsite.com/motherboard.aspx

Anyway I got a Windows 2003 Server machine that was installed with the date format "dd/MM/yyyy" and location still locked in US. As we migrated certain apps over to the new machine. we found out something... someone coded a Now.ToString in a database query... and the SQL Box is running MM/dd/yyyy! Chaos follows!!! Hi all, I have a gridview control with a bound field as outlined below. The problem is that the formatting is not happening. The data gets rendered as 12999.0000. It is being stored in a decimal data type. Any ideas? <asp:boundfield headertext="Amount" datafield="amount" dataformatstring="{0:C}"/> TIA!

I have a website that currently has all static htm pages and nothing will be dynamic for quite some time. This site is made up of a bunch of htm pages. is there any advantage or disadvantage of converting them to aspx pages? We are using VS 2005 and .net 2.0. Thanks. -- moondaddy@nospam.nospam

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
